Business Ideas

Happy holidays everyone! I hope you enjoyed the introduction last week into the business outline that I will be going into more depth in throughout the coming weeks. As mentioned this will be a very high level splurge as I go into more depth on my course pages! So lets dive into this, and lets start from the beginning. Where does a business start from? Lets answer that questions first.

When looking to start a business you need an idea, that either solves a need or is unique in some way to other products/business ideas that are in society today. These ideas can either enhance a current product/solution or cater to a need that is currently unfulfilled by existing products. One thing I can guarantee if you sit in a room for hours attempting to create a business idea, then this is not for you. An idea should be something you are passionate about because of the stressful hours and days that will be imminent or in the near future. Also if you are passionate about your idea and product when it comes time to pitch or sell your idea/product to others, that passion will come through and persuade others to invest their time and money in your business.

Once you have an established idea that you are willing to put your own time and money into, you must create a business plan/proposal to put your idea into words and to have something to either build on or look back on. Also you need these to show others and potentially get their help. Here are some of the key things needed in a business plan;

Some of these points may not be applicable to you yet, as you may be at the very start of your idea and just figuring it out so do not worry if you can’t answer all of these questions!

After you have established your business plan you should begin to map out your goals and a roadmap to achieving them. A goal is; the object of a person’s ambition or effort; an aim or desired result. These goals are what you will measure your success by, and will keep you on track to getting where you want to be eventually. However do not make the goals to ambitious, and don’t make them to simple either. What I recommend doing is looking at companies new product and software releases and correlating it with that. Generally speaking you will a 30/60/90 day goals and well a 6 month and 1 year goal to begin.

Now that you have your goals established for the year you will build and develop a roadmap to achieving them. The roadmap will include what do you have to do from your current situation to get to your first goal and repeat. For example what do you need to get from an idea to a product, or from your product to your first sale? Once you have your back bone aligned and you are fully set to commit get fucking to ‘er.
